Application of Tumbler Screen in Sugar Industry

In the sugar and food additive industry of this year, on the one hand, due to the diversified market demand; on the other hand, due to the production of new technologies and new processes are continuously produced. Therefore, there are more and more types of sugar products, and customers have high demanding about the sugar, the products are required to be free from foreign matter and impurities. While sugar products are mostly viscous, ordinary vibrating screens are difficult to achieve the desired screening effect in terms of yield and precision. There is an urgent need for a more efficient new equipment for screening sugar products.
Tumbler screen
The principle of tumbler screen simulating artificial sieving, and it is a sieving machine closest to the manual screen. The tumbler screen has a base of pyramids, and the middle screen layer can be increased or decreased according to demand, and it can reach up to six levels. The tumbler screen is driven by a rigid crankshaft and dynamically balanced. Under the drive of a rigid crankshaft with adjustable tilting angle, the tumbler screen machine can realize three-dimensional motion, that is, superimpose a vertical motion on the horizontal circular motion. The parameters of the vibration vary with the rotational speed, the eccentricity of the crankshaft, the radial dip and the tangential dip, which makes sieved sugar material is allowed to move over the screen layer at a desired rate or to remain on the screen for a desired period of time. The amplitude of the tumbler screen and the acceleration of the material vary with the degree of deflection of the crankshaft. The tangential inclination of the crankshaft determines the speed of the circular motion of the material on the screen. The radial inclination of the crankshaft determines the velocity of material from the sieve. The interaction of the tangential and radial inclination causes the sieved sugar fines to make a spiral involute motion on the screen, which also determines the precision and yield of the sieved product.
Based on the intricate design of the tumbler screen, the sieved material can enter from the center of the tumbler screen when sifting, and the material in each layer is sequentially filtered from the center to the next layer. The moving distance of each part of the material on the screen is basically similar. The large particle size of materials increases the vertical acceleration as they approach the edge of the screen, further increasing screening efficiency and yield. Take the four-layer tumbler sieve as an example, the screening output per hour is about 4-5 tons. At the same time, five different particle size products are obtained, and the precision of each product is tested by standard sieve is more than 95%; due to the three-dimensional rotation of the sieve machine, the stable movement, the extended service life, and low maintenance rate of the tumbler screen, thus the cost of the screen mesh and maintenance can be spent few dollars in one year to users. Thus it is an ideal screening equipment for sugar products.
