The Synchronous Feeding Mechanism for the Z Bucket conveyor

When using the Z type bucket conveyor to transport the granular and powder material in the chemical, food, grain, and medicine, due to the dropping impact to the downstream equipment, there will be some of the spilled material. It needs to clean up the Z type bucket elevator frequently, thereby consuming human and material resources and waste an amount of material, whilst resulting in the low automation level. To solve out the material spillage for the Z type bucket elevator, we’ve designed a synchronous feeding device, which can achieve the synchronized operation among the feeding to the elevator and discharging to the hopper, to improve the working performance.

This kind of feeding device for the Z type bucket conveyor is made up of the outer casing, rolling pulley, and a chute mounted to the outer casing. There will be a synchronous shaft fixed on both ends of the rolling pulley and the outer casing, the hopper will be installed on the shaft through the rotating bearing, also there will be a synchronizing wheel connected to the chain, which fixed on the shaft. By the way, when Z type bucket conveyor is running, the chain displacement speed is equal to the linear velocity of the rolling pulley. There will be many feed openings on the rolling pulley outer, for the same space between the two feed openings and the two buckets. The hopper lies inside of the rolling pulley, next the lower end of the chute will insert into the hopper, then a hopper door will be installed under the hopper. The two sides of the hopper door will be driven by the cylinder. The upper part of the chute is the pulley and the lower part is the inclined slide. There will be a sensor senses the material volume, in order to control the cylinder whether opening the hopper door. What’s more, the pitch of the synchronous sprocket is same to the elevator chain pitch, in order to elevator chain drives the synchronous sprocket, the material will be charged through the left side of the hopper, the door will open to discharge the material when the hopper is full.
When the Z type bucket conveyor is running , the synchronous sprocket will connect to the elevator, the elevator chain will drive the sprocket to rotate, while the sprocket will rotate the rolling pulley through the synchronous shaft. As the transported material gets into the hopper through the chute, and the materials in the hopper are filled, the cylinder is used to open the door at the bottom of the hopper to discharge the stored material. Thanks to the discharge port of the pulley is facing the elevator bucket, the leakage caused by the material impacting the hopper will be greatly reduced.
