The status and developing trend of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor aboard
Since the 1960s ，Scholtz ，a German company，has been developed the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor. Its technical patent was purchased by the United Kingdom Dowty Company, Japan B "Do Company and Northern Europe Nordstroms-Scholtz Company. With the licenses for production， they formed a sales and manufacturing network for the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor series (Models: Flexwell, Flexofast, Flexolift). There are now more than 30,000 sets of the running corrugated sidewall belt conveyors in over 90 countries. In order to meet the market requirements for large conveying capacity and hoisting height, Scholtz commissioned the Research Institute of Transport Technology and Mining Machinery at the University of Hanover to conduct a study on improving its performance.

An overview of the domestic development
In the mid 80s, Port of Zhanjiang introduced from Germany Thyssen Corporation 5 sets of bulk fertilizer filling equipment. At the large dip angle conveying part, the corrugated sidewall belt conveyors were deployed, featuring conveyor capacity 150 t/h, inclination 35 , bandwidth 650mm, belt speed 95m min, machine length12m and flange height 100mm.
In 1983，Tianjin rubber machine belt factory developed the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor for the water transportation research institute of ministry of communications and its belt perfomance was proven to meet its design requirements by experiment.
To meet the continuous loading and unloading of our bulk terminal， Ministry of Communications has developed the BT一300 corrugated sidewall belt conveyor reducing energy consumption ，Material crushing rate and dust pollution , which featuring low noise and flexible operation. Furthermore, its conveying capacity and vertical lift are respectively 300 t/h, and 37.65 m.
