01 Analysis of main reasons for the wear of the lagging of conveyor pulley

There are mainly the following reasons for the wear of the lagging of conveyor pulley:

(1) The rubber material is expired or has impurities, resulting in insufficient adhesion between the rubber layer and the roller or low strength of the rubber layer, and deformation or damage after being stressed.

(2) Influence of dirt on wear. The wear caused by coal scraps and dirt on the surface of the rubber belt and roller is typical abrasive wear. Due to the chemical action of liquid or gas medium, especially the role of high temperature, the wear is aggravated, so that the drum strength is reduced.

(3) Influence of wrapping Angle on wear. Increased wrapping Angle will level up the traction force on the surface of the drum and reduce wear, but the wrapping Angle shouldn't be too large, otherwise it will aggravate the bending fatigue damage of the tape.

(4) Poor glue pouring or casting process, such as bad vulcanization temperature control, resulting in poor repair quality, the damage of part glue layer  or degumming.

(5) In use, the partial damage is caused by the deviation of the rubber belt , by the uneven local force of the rubber layer or by the scraping of external objects. If the roller running time is long, fatigue damage is also the cause of adhesive cracking or damage.
