How to improve the double roller of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor

     The application of double rollers is common in practical production and application of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor. Generally, the double rollers is divided into double guide pressing roller and double guide support roller. The double guide pressing roller can be placed at the bearing branch to be used as the pinch roller, and the double guide support roller can be installed in concave segment of empty section to support corrugated sidewall belt. However, it is found that the abrasion of the corrugated sidewall of the conveyor belt and the small pinch roller of the compound guide roller is very serious, which affects the normal production operation in the practical application.
     Supporting roller is one of the key components of the belt conveyor, which is used to support the conveyor belt and bear the load. The conveyor belt adopted by the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is heavier than the traditional one, and the obvious drooping will cause the vibration of the whole conveyor belt is too large, which affect the efficiency of the device. From analysis and investigation, it is more ideal to adopt double roller support in the no-load branch of the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt. However, considering the deficiency of double roller and corrugated sidewall, this paper improves the design of double roller to overcome this shortcoming and further improve the support system of no-load branch. The following is the specific improvement plan.

     The first scheme is both ends of the shaft of the double roller are supported by two bearing pedestals. A pair of bearings are installed between the pinch roller of the base band and the shaft, and the pinch roller of the base band is driven by the base band to rotate, while the pinch roller of the sidewall and the shaft are driven by the corrugated sidewall belt to rotate. In this way, the outer circumference of the base band pinch roller and the sidewall pinch roller can rotate at the same linear speed, which reduce relative friction between the corrugated sidewall and the sidewall pinch roller and increase the work efficiency of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor.
     The second scheme is both ends of the double roller is fixed. Bearings shall be installed between the sidewall pinch roller and the shaft and between the base band pinch roller and the shaft respectively, so that the sidewall pinch roller and the base band pinch roller can be opposite to the shaft, make the outer circumferential speed of the sidewall pinch roller is the same as that of corrugated sidewall and the base band pinch roller is the same as the base band, and reduce the sliding friction between base band and sidewall and the pinch roller. In addition, nylon protective cover can be added to the outer circumference of the sidewall pinch roller and the width of the protective cover should be larger than the width of the corrugated sidewall to protect the sidewall from wearing.
     Both of the above two schemes adopt double supporting roller to support the corrugated sidewall belt of no-load branch, which not only supports the empty side on both sides of the base band, but also supports the corrugated sidewall. This kind of structure can improve the rigidity and stability of the corrugated sidewall belt. The application of double roller in the system of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor has greatly improved the situation of the existence of the corrugated sidewall make the conveyor hard to support in return, which not only protect the corrugated sidewall from wearing and damaging, but also improve the transverse stiffness of the corrugated sidewall belt, reduce the sunk degree of conveyor to the middle section, and improve the running state of conveyor.
