The Dropping Dust Control System For the Portable Belt Conveyor

The portable belt conveyor is widely used for the bulk materials loading and transshipment in port, agriculture and other industrial applications, thanks to its portability, mobility, and simple maintenance. However, in the storage and transportation production line composed of many portable belt conveyors, because there is basically no effective dedusting measures, it will be a great deal of dust full of the storage and warehouse, cause damage to the workers’ health and pollute the working conditions, not to mention the material waste. In order to solve out the existing problem, we have made several improvements to the portable belt conveyors, a dropping dust control system is adding to, to make up for transportation deficiencies in bulk material, reducing dust quantity, prevent from environmental pollution and guarantee the workers’ health.

The dropping dust control system for the portable belt conveyor is composed of several neighboring portable belt conveyors, flexible tunnel section, feeding port, discharging port, dust collector connected to the dust control unit. The portable belt conveyor is made up of the truss frame, rubber conveyor belt, sealing cover plate, discharging port and the feeding port. The sealing cover plates are fixedly connected to the surface of the truss frame, the rubber belt installs inside of the truss frame. While its feeding port, enclosed by multiple inclined baffle plates which forming an angle between 40°~60° with the vertical plane, is set at one end of the portable belt conveyor. To the flexible tunnel section, consists of many wear proof cylinders connected by bolts, its one end connects to the discharging point of a portable belt conveyor, and the other end connects to the feeding point of next conveyor. A sealing strip will be stick on the joint part of the wear-proof cylinder, when the two neighboring wearable cylinders bond to each other, the bolt will pass through one of the cylinder holes, and link the solid metal block to the other cylinder. As the bulk material gets into the portable belt conveyor through the feeding point, where the material containing dust will be transported into the discharging port, then it will be taken away by next conveyor from the flexible tunnel section. During this transportation process, the dust will be always trapped inside the wear-proof cylinder of the flexible tunnel section. Due to it is an integrated sealing space to the wear-proof cylinder, a tiny negative pressure will become inside of the inner space, when starting the dust collector. Thus, the large number of dust will be dealt with by the dust collector, to prevent the spillage and guarantee a well working condition.
Since the portable belt conveyor is mounted to the dropping dust control system, the flying dust is greatly reduced when conveying the dry bulk material, the working condition and air quality is improved, also there is no dust explosion accident happening during the narrow sealing storage. In the meantime, the transportation loss for the fine particles is reduced. The main component of the portable belt conveyor can be separately disassembly and assembly, the quick-wear part can be easily replaced, and it’s no need to use the external control device to lower the maintenance cost. What’s more, the material can slide slowly to minimize the material fragmentation when adjusting the inclination angle of the tunnel section.
