The vibration motor is the vibration source of the vibratory separator. Heavy hammers were installed on the upper and lower ends of the motor shaft. The rotation of the vibration motor leads to the both horizontal and vertical three-phase movement by vibrating part so as to separate continuously the materials.
When it is working, the vibration motor keeps vibrating, which making the electrical wiring of motor remain tension. For the wires pass through the base of the equipment, the vibration may wear the wires and lead to the frequent break of the wires as well as suspend production.
We reassemble the vibration motor from the body frame to the outside so the power cord does not enter the frame. In this way,the wires of the motor make no contact to the vibrating body. Besides, we replaced the vibration motor with a common motor. Through calculation, the size of the pulley, type of belt and the root of the belt are determined. The power of the motor is passed on to the vibratory separator. From the spring upward including vibrating screen shaft of the original vibratory separator are all vibrating. With the vibratory separator driven by the ordinary motor and the top and bottom eccentric weights， it still retains its original vibration mode.The impact of the vibration on pulley can be eliminated by soft connection of the pulley and vibratory separator to ensure the reliability and stable of the drive.

After the improvement， the S49-B vibratory separator was in good operation condition and its separation met the production requirements in order to reducing production losses. The improvement was successful.
