Corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is continuous conveying equipment with a flexible conveyor belt as a material support part and traction. According to the principle of friction drive, belt conveyor can be driven by a drive pulley. It can convey bulking, block material under the horizontal direction, the inclination angle is rarely more than 18° inclination. If the inclination angle is large, a long inclination distance will be required, which not only extends the length of the conveyor but also increases the land occupancy and equipment costs. But the conveying angle of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor can be up to 90°, large conveying capacity, high lifting height. It can transport all kinds of materials arbitrarily, shorten the length of the conveyor, reduce the area occupied and project investment. Besides, it is conducive to the process equipment and system layout. This paper introduces a kind of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor used for transporting corncobs.
The structure introduction
Corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is composed of the pulley, bend wheel, connector, lower idler, upper idler, plate, conveyor cover, sidewall belt, pinch roller, tension device and other parts. The driving device adopts electric pulley, because of the electric pulley structure is simple and compact, small volume, small space area, large bearing capacity, good sealing, smooth transmission, low noise, easy installation, easy maintenance. The diameter of the pulley selects the 500mm and covered with rubber to increase the friction between the pulley and the conveyor belt. The cooling method adopts the oil cooling roll and the pulley is equipped with the reverse device, its rotating speed is controlled by the transducer. In the process of conveying, a little corn max in the material, with a little embedded these corn helical baffle and wavy guard contact, they are not able to normal unloading, embedded with the conveyor belt of the downside of kernels naturally fell down, manual cleaning is very trouble, so in the direction of the conveyor belt downside frame is installed on a grain collection measures. Pinch roller, bend pulley and lower support wheel are made of nylon, and the belt groove is machined on the base belt according to the size of the guide strip. The pinch roller is a grooved wheel symmetrically pressed on the guide strips on both sides of the conveyor belt and supported by a cantilever. It is designed to change the conveyor belt from a horizontal direction to an upward direction of 50°. The supporting wheel is also a grooved wheel arranged symmetrically. Most of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyors are made outdoors, and the conveyor cover is installed on the upper part of the conveyor frame to prevent rain, dust, and aging the conveyor belt. Due to the width and weight of the wavy edge, although the two sides of the belt are supported by the supporting wheel, there is still a falling phenomenon in the middle. Sometimes, the guide bar of the conveyor belt will slip out of the groove of the supporting wheel. Because the nylon supporting plate is fixed on the frame in the middle position below the conveyor belt, it plays a supporting role.
How to select the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt
The sidewall conveyor belt is the flexural member of the
corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, as a material support part and traction, it is composed of the baseband, corrugated sidewall, helical baffle and guide bar. On both sides of the baseband is installs the scalable and bending corrugated sidewall belt that mainly prevents the material leakage and reduces the efficiency of the conveyor belt. If ask helical baffle spacing is too small, there will be a part of the corncobs that can't fall into space effectively, and reduce productivity. According to the size of corncob, finally, we select the helical baffle with a 5400mm effective width. Determine the baseband width: the effective width of the inclined baffle has been determined as 540mm, plus the wave value of the corrugated sidewall and the guide bar of the conveyor belt. Finally, the width of the baseband is determined as 800mm. The heat vulcanization method is adopted for the connecting process of each component of the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt. The conveyor belt should also be in accordance with the length of the required joint with hot vulcanization method into a ring. According to the working environment, the sidewall conveyor belt should select cold-resistant.
