An analysis on the cause and solution of deviation of mining apron feeder

The main structure of apron feeder is roughly same, the main materials to be used for short distance transport, large capacity, strong impact resistance, large inclination angle and other advantages. It is one of the essential equipment in mine transportation. But in the process of using, because often appears the chain plate deviation phenomenon, seriously affects the normal transportation.

Reason of deviation of chain plate
1) during the coal conveying, the size of raw coal, moisture content of coal, large impact and the feeding deviation and other reasons causes the material difficult for raw coal to be uniformly distributed along the central position of the chain plate, resultiong in the deviation of the center of gravity, leading to the deviation of the chain plate.
2) During apron feeder installation or commission, it fails to keep the upper and lower support wheels parallel, which generates axial force and causes the chain plant deviation.
3) When replacing the upper and lower supporting wheels, if the upper and lower support wheels are fixed at a position not perpendicular to the center line of the frame, an angle will appear between the axis of the support wheel and the center line of the chain plate. When the chain plate moves forward, axial force will be generated between the chain plate and the support wheel, causing the chain plate deviation.
Operating was blocked
In the design, manufacturing, installation and commission of apron feeder, the minimum clearance between the lower plate and the fixed frame should be guaranteed. If the operating minimum clearance between the protect panel and baffle, the baffle and support, the heigth of flange and side protect panel are not determined, there must be rigid impact and destructive accidents. The manufacturing quality of two parallel and equidistant traction chain plates in the apron feeder is poor. The manufacturing accuracy of the pitch of the chain plate is poor, which causes the cumulative error over error, and the two traction chains are out of sync in operation, resulting in dislocation, which increases the traction resistance in operation.Secondly, the tooth shape of the driving sprocket and the position of the chain groove are processed out of alignment, which causes the transmission of two chains to be out of sync, resulting in different sizes of tensile stress, and one of the running resistance exceeds the load of the chain plate and breaks the chain. In order to eliminate this manufacturing error, when processing various sprocket and chain plate, the size and error requirements should be strictly guaranteed.
During a poried of running, the bottom plate can not be guaranteed to be in the same plane due to plastic deformation caused by impact, which causes serious deformation of the bottom plate and increases friction resistance on the supporting plate surface of the chain.
The bottom plate is formed by hot pressing, and the radian distance is small. When the bottom plate is rotating on the head and tail sprocket, the two adjacent bottom plates touch each other on the top corner of the arc of the sprocket, and the chain plate group forcibly runs, causing the chain to jump on the tooth shape of the sprocket and increasing the traction operation resistance.
Solution to adjusting the chain plant deviation
Under complex production conditions, it is difficult to avoid the deviation of the apron feeder completely. Only by changing the way of adjusting the deviation, making the adjustment easy, fast and reliable is the fundamental way to solve the deviation of the chain plate. The lower support wheel originally fixed on the fixed beam is changed to a rotating support, and it is fixed at an arbitrary angle through the additional screw and screw screw. When the chain plate deviates, adjust it with the hand wheel and universal coupling, as shown in the attached figure. Through adjustment, the fixed angle of the lower support wheel can be changed, so that the force on the chain plate can be changed, and finally the deviation can be adjusted. The universal coupling can change the fixed direction of the handwheel, which makes the deviation adjustment more convenient.
Through this kind of deviation adjustment way, making the deviation adjustment become simple and easy, fast and reliable. It not only reduce the labor intensity, but also greatly reduce the wear and tear of support wheel and chain plate and other components. In addition, it ensures the material continuous, stable, normal transmission, economic benefit.
