Common Failures and Solutions of Belt Bucket Elevator
1.Buckets Belt is Torn
1.1 Generally, the bucket belt falls off and the process of bucket runs off are particularly easy to cause the bucket belt to tear, the causes should be found out in a timely and comprehensive manner.
1.2 Mixing foreign bodies with sharp edges in the material will also crack the bucket belt. In production, steel mesh or magnet should be installed at the inlet to prevent large foreign bodies from falling into the machine base.
2.Deviation of Buckets Belt
2. 1. The edge of the bucket belt is not in the same line, in production and operation, bucket belt one side tight, the other side loses. It causes the bucket belt to move to the tight side, then causes the deviation. At this time we should stop, fix connector joint.
2. 2. The vertical deviation of the belt bucket elevator is too large, the head pulley and the tail pulley are not parallel, leading to the deviation of the bucket belt, and easy to cause the collision between the bucket and the pulley, and the tearing of the bucket belt.

3. Belt Slipping
3.1 Not enough tension in the belt causes to slip. Adjust the tensioning device. If the tensioning device cannot fully tensify the bucket belt, it means that the travel of the tensioning device is too short and should be adjusted again.
3.2 When overloaded, the resistance moment increases, causing the belt to slip. At this time, the feeding amount of materials should be reduced and the feeding should be uniform. If the skidding cannot be improved after the feeding amount is reduced, it may be that the materials are piled up too much in the machine or the bucket is stuck by foreign matter.
3.3 The pulley and bucket’s surface is too smooth, which reduces the friction between the two, causing the bucket belt to slip. A layer of glue can be applied on the inner surface of the head pulley and the belt to increase the friction.
3.4 The pulley’s bearing do not work good, resistance moment increases, which causing the bucket belt to slip. Disassemble, wash and refuel or replace bearings.
4. Capacity cannot up to actual requirement
4.1 The material is glued to the bucket and cannot be discharged by itself. The material should be removed periodically according to the bonding degree.
4.2 The capacity of the front part of the belt bucket elevator is not enough, which leads to less material input. Small processing capacity of rear mechanical equipment of elevator, blocking of discharging material, there is need to improve the production capacity of rear mechanical equipment.
