There are the disadvantages that heavy and abrasion of the chain easily in belt bucket elevator. And as the using time passes, the chain will be continuously lengthened, and a section of the chain needs to be removed regularly, thus reducing the number of buckets and the conveying capacity of materials. Moreover, Uneven wear of the chain pin roll will cause uneven length of the chain on both sides of the bucket, making the whole chain deviated, the bucket rubbed against the shell and broke the bucket. When the chain pin roll is seriously worn, the strength of the chain pin roll will be greatly reduced, and the pin roll and the chain will break, and the whole chain and the bucket will fall to the lower shell, which is called collapse cage phenomenon. Once the phenomenon occurs, it will be very difficult to resume production.

At present, there are the two kinds of rubber belt used in belt bucket elevator, steel rubber belt and steel core rubber belt, and the steel core tape is much more likely to be used. Because the belt bucket elevator has a bottom tension device, the length of the belt can be adjusted in a certain range, and the belt deviation can be adjusted by adjusting the tensity on both sides of the tension device. Because of the protection of rubber layer, the steel core tape avoids abrasion, the belt will not break horizontally and easily and cause collapse cage phenomenon. However the block material is easy to cause tear damage to the belt, so the belt bucket elevator is generally used in the occasion of lifting powder.
With the large number of applications of steel core belt bucket elevator, new problems appear in practice. The rubber layer of the belt bucket upper drum will be worn, especially in the conveying process of cement, which will cause the rubber belt off-track jump stop accident of rubber belt. Therefore, once the rubber layer is worn, it should be replaced in time, otherwise it will cause the failure of breaking bucket. However, it is a heavy job to replace the rubber layer of the upper drum of the belt bucket elevator. It requires to remove the whole upper drum, install the new upper drum, and send the old one to the factory glue again. When replacing, first it requires to lift the spare parts of the upper drum to the handpiece of the belt bucket elevator to make preparations.After the equipment stops, adjusting the tension device of the tail pulley and loosening the belt. Then dismantling the electrical machinery, hydraulic coupler, reduction gear and others.Finally, opening the cover shell of the upper drum of the belt bucket elevator, lifting the belt and pulling out the upper drum. After installing the new upper drum, reversing the above process for installation. In order to reduce the area occupied by the belt bucket drive system, the connection between the upper drum and the reducer is generally connected by hollow shaft, which is more difficult to remove than the reducer connected by the coupling.
The modification scheme is to get rid of the rubber layer of the upper drum of the belt bucket elevator and install the prepared tiled film.During the replacement, just open the side door of the upper drum housing of the belt bucket elevator, dismantle the worn tiled film, and install the new one. This innovation enables us to easily and smoothly replace the rubber layer of the upper drum of the belt bucket elevator with only 4 ~ 5h, so as to reduce the replacement time, personnel and downtime.
