The application of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor in compound fertilizer production

The existing problem of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor
The conveyor belt ran off deviation: During the operation of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, the conveyor belt is off-tracking, which leads to prolonged debugging cycle and forced shutdown of the system several times. The reasons for this phenomenon are as follows: There is no cleaning device on the head, the compound fertilizer has the characteristics of strong hygroscopicity and high viscosity after hygroscopicity, during the operation of the conveyor belt, the materials adhere to the working surface of the conveyor belt after hygroscopicity. Because there is no cleaning device at the head of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, if the material is not completely unloaded, the adhesive material will enter the lower idler of the blank section, making the conveyor idler covered with sticky material. If the material enters the idler shell, the radial load and axial load on the bearing seat will be increased, which will accelerate the bearing wear. The material on the idler shell will tear and pull the surface glue of the conveyor belt, greatly shortening the service life of the conveyor belt. After the attachment on the idler if further hygroscopized, the friction force with the conveyor belt will be reduced, resulting in skidding and the deviation of the conveyor belt to the end with high fraction force.

Motor frame deformation: In the original design, the roller in the convex arc section of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor was burnt and torn many times, causing serious material leakage. It is found that the diameter of idler and the thickness of shell wall do not meet the specification requirements, at the same time, the seal between the idler shell and the bearing is not strict, the gasket thickness is not enough, a lot of dust enters the shell, resulting in the increase of the radial load of the idler. When the conveyor belt is running, the friction increases, the conveyor belt is brushed and the idler is worn. In case of serious wear, the idler end will be torn due to serious wear.
Conveyor belt corrugated fender wear is serious. In a short period of time since the system was put into use, direct contact between the conveyor belt wave-shaped retaining edge and the pressure belt wheel resulted in wear, thinning and even complete cracking of the conveyor belt wave-shaped retaining edge.
Corrective actions
1.Add anti-deviation device. An opposite roller is added on the conveyor every 3m, and the vertical roller is added in the steering position and the position where it is easy to deviate.
2.Lower the mounting position of the motor frame to form a certain angle between the sprocket of the motor and the sprocket of the driving drum to reduce the torque distance and prevent the deformation of the motor frame.
3.Vibration device and spring sweeper are added to the head to change the installation position of the empty section sweeper. The vibrating device is installed on the empty horizontal section of the conveyor belt just leaving the drum, and slapping the bonded materials to prevent the conveyor belt from slipping and deviating due to the moisture absorption of materials during the operation. The spring sweeper is installed at the connection between the convex arc section and the horizontal section to prevent the material from being placed on the redirected idler, which results in uneven force on the idler and deviation of the conveyor belt. The empty section sweeper was originally installed on the upper side of the no-load section of the conveyor belt close to the front of the tail drum. After the feeding operation, it was found that the function of this sweeper was not obvious. Therefore, it should be installed on the upper side of the inclined section of conveyor belt in no-load section and close to the lower concave arc section, so as to clean the empty section of the inclined section of the return trip and prevent the material from sticking to the reversing idler.
4.The upper convex arc and lower concave arc frames were modified to increase the number of reversing idlers. The arc section of the original conveyor is replaced by an arc section pressed by channel steel. The central angle is the inclination of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, and each steering idler is evenly distributed on the arc section, so that the force of each idler is uniform and the conveyor belt will no loner run off.
