Analysis of Sidewall Belt Conveyor Material Leak

Corrugated sidewall belt conveyor has large inclination angle, large conveying capacity, low floor space, simple structure, flexible layout, reliable operating and convenient maintenance. So it is widely used in variety of industries. Because sidewall belt conveyor has some design, manufacture and material and other parts problems, such as the sidewall belt is easy to damage, the base belt is easy to deformation, the pinch roller wear the corrugated sidewall easily, diaphragm deformation, the connection between the base belt and sidewall belt is not sturdy and material leakage is seriously. For conveying small particles, good fluidity, dry and requirements in the conveying process particles are not damaged in the finished materials for the edging machine is a very suitable choice, but because of its leakage, will cause a lot of problems such as decrease the conveying capacity.

Situation for material leakage
The material leakage is more serious in the operation of the edge-guard machine, not only in the lifting section of the material along the diaphragm and the wavy edge-guard, but also in the upper part of the convex arc section of the material leakage is more obvious.The material at the receiving part of the lower horizontal section will splash outward on the diaphragm, together with the residual material of the upper return journey belt, the material will leak nearly 1 t every day in serious cases, which not only makes the operating environment bad, but also because it is finished material, the recycling process is more troublesome, which will certainly cause a certain loss to the enterprise.
Leakage reasons
Leakage reason is mainly related to the belt structure of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, operating stability and base parameter. The shape of sidewall belt is S shape, the diaphragm is TC shape, the outside of corrugated sidewall has empty. The diaphragm, corrugated sidewall and base belt is fix connected. Diaphragm and corrugated sidewall is not connection. The leakage reasons can be resulted to the follow points.
Badly production for corrugated sidewall
It mainly means the shape of corrugated sidewall is irregularity, diaphragm arrangement is optionally, that cause the gap between diaphragm and corrugated sidewall is big, and size is changeless. At the same time, due to irregular sidewall belt, the pinch roller (or guide wheel) is easy to crush and friction with the corrugated sidewall. Therefore, the corrugated sidewall is easy to abrasion.
The design shortage of sidewall belt
The sidewall of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor should be symmetrical. If the top of the outside corrugated sidewall is called a crest and the inside is called a trough, then the symmetrical crest or trough should be on the same cross section. There is a design gap of 5 mm between the diaphragm and the inside of the trough itself (2.5 mm on each side). If the diaphragm is not in the right position, different degrees of leakage gap will be generated between the diaphragm and the undulating side.
Diaphragm deformation
After the sidewall belt conveyor installed, there have been a lot of diaphragm deformation caused by the undulate belt of the hopper distortion, which will inevitably cause leakage.
Installation error
The installation precision of the frame determines the accuracy of the position of the supporting roller.
Measures to prevent leakage
By analyzing the causes of material leakage, the following measures to prevent material leakage are proposed:
1. Under the guidance of the equipment manufacturer, check and adjust the installation accuracy of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, especially the installation position of the idler and the pinch roller to minimize the vibration of the undulating belt;
2. Correct the deformation of the sidewall belt, especially the deformation of the diaphragm, and replace the severely deformed or damaged diaphragm;
3. Rubber baffle plate is added at the receiving part of the horizontal section of the undulate belt to reduce the spatter of the receiving part;
4. Add a material recovery chute below the upper return belt to send the recovered finished materials into the finished products warehouse
5. At the trough of the sidewall belt, connecting the sidewall belt and the diaphragm with bolts to reduce the gap between them.
