What are the structural advantages and existing problems of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor

Compared with the ordinary belt conveyor, the large inclination corrugated sidewall belt conveyor has the following advantages.
(1)The structure is simple. The most prominent characteristics of the large inclination corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is that the undulating retaining belt conveyor is adopted to replace the ordinary conveyor belt. But its working principle and the structure composition are the same as the ordinary belt conveyors. The main components such as roller, roller, tension device, intermediate frame, supporting leg of intermediate frame, head frame, tail frame, funnel, protective cover, sweeper and protective device can be used with the corresponding components of ordinary belt conveyor. Which is convenient for use and maintenance.
(2)Stable,reliable and low noise. Compared with ordinary belt conveyor, bucket elevator and scraper conveyor, its comprehensive technical performance is superior, not like drag chain conveyor which often appears card chain,floating chain, broken chain phenomenon and bucket elevator which occur slip, drop bucket phenomenon.
(3)The conveying angle is large, up to 90℃, which is the ideal equipment for large inclination conveyor and vertical lifting.
(4)The overall investment is low, which can save the land area and equipment investment and construction cost.

The existing problems and solutions of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor
(1)The phenomenon of return trip belt drop. In the equipment installation and debugging stage, after the belt deviates, the back haul belt is easy to fall of the reversing pressure wheel, causing the equipment cannot be started up for debugging. In order to eliminate this phenomenon, a towing device composed of multiple lower rollers and parallel roller is added behind the reversing pressure wheel to hold both the base belt and the side of the undulating retainer belt. In this way, the tape can be effectively removed and the normal debugging of the equipment can be guaranteed.
(2)The deviation of belt. Belt deviation is the common fault in the running process of the belt conveyor. For the large inclination corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, if it is not adjusted in time, the long-term off- track operation will not only cause serious wear on the edge of the belt base belt, but also interfere between the wavy side and the idler, which will causes wear and tear on the wavy edges, leading unexpected accidents like wear and scratch. Combined with years of production time practice and deviation rule of ordinary belt conveyor, we analyse that deviation phenomenon is caused by large force on the blanking point and uneven material blanking, after on-site inspection, the blanking chute center of the conveyor and the center of the conveyor are based, resulting in the material falling in the side of the wavy side guard belt. In order to eliminate the deviation caused by the installation error between the center of gravity of blanking chute and the center of conveyor, the original standard guard chute was reconstructed: the V-shaped guide groove with reasonable guide angle was reformed and V-shaped guide roof is added on the base of the ordinary bell mouth guide groove, making the material evenly distributed in the middle of the belt of corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, and avoiding the phenomenon of material scattering and the deviation of the belt machine caused by the material.
