ZXF3061 Banana Screen Application Practice

The ZXF3061 single-layer Banana Screen is applied in the secondary crushing system of oil shale. It screens out oil shale with a particle size less than 20mm. The screened-down products are sent to the raw material storage area for storage, while the screened-up products are returned to the crusher for further crushing.

Structure and Working Principle

The ZXF3061 single-layer Banana Screen is mainly composed of an exciter, a screen box, a support and shock absorption device, and a support base. When the Banana Screen operates, the vibration motor drives the screen surface to produce linear vibration, causing the materials in the trough to move and collide with the screen surface. Coal particles smaller than the screen aperture width pass through the screen holes and become the undersize material, while coal blocks larger than the screen aperture width become the oversize material, thereby achieving the geometric classification of coal.

Screen surface design

The screen surface is designed in a streamlined shape, which facilitates the passage of fine coal and media through the screen, and can reduce the damage to the screen surface. The processing capacity is greater than that of a conventional vibrating screen. The large inclination angle at the feed end enables the coal to move rapidly and achieve rapid stratification, which is beneficial for the passage of fine coal and media. Large chunks of gangue can pass through the steep slope of the screen surface quickly and achieve rapid stratification. This early stratification enables fine coal and media to approach the screen surface more quickly, enhancing the desliming and dewatering effects. As the angle decreases, the movement speed of large chunks of gangue decreases, which is conducive to the flushing with fan-shaped water spray, thereby reducing media loss and improving the screening efficiency.

Screen plate material selection

Polyurethane screen mesh, compared with traditional metal screen plates, has a longer service life, excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and can adapt to the continuous material impact and friction during oil shale screening, reducing screen plate wear and replacement frequency. At the same time, the polyurethane screen mesh has a lighter self-weight, reducing the overall load of the screening machine and having better screening performance, less prone to clogging problems, and maintaining stable screening efficiency over a long period. The screen holes are not prone to clogging.

Screen surface replacement is simple

The screen surface is composed of standard module unit polyurethane combined screen plates and accessories. There is no need for bolt connection. The disassembly and installation are simple, and the replacement is convenient.

Box-type exciter

The exciter generates directional excitation force by using the centrifugal inertial force generated when the eccentric block rotates unevenly and reverses. By adjusting the rotational speed of the swing block and the number and position of the counterweight blocks, the unbalanced weight can be changed, thereby adjusting the excitation force and working torque. The exciter is installed on the upper beam of the screen box, and two identical swing blocks rotate synchronously in opposite directions. At each instant position, the centrifugal force generated on the two shafts in the X-axis direction always cancels each other out, while the centrifugal force in the Y-axis direction always adds up. Therefore, a Y-axis direction excitation force is formed, which drives the box to perform linear vibration. The vibration intensity is relatively large.

Maintenance and servicing

After the vibration generator has been running for 200 hours, the oil level of the lubricating oil must be checked regularly to ensure it is normal. When the vibration generator has been running for 1000 hours, the lubricating oil must be replaced.

After the Banana Screen has been running for 200 hours, the tension and integrity of the V-belt should be checked. The tension of the V-belt should be such that the middle position can be pressed down by the thumb by 15-20mm. For severely damaged V-belts, they should be replaced promptly.

During the operation of the Banana Screen, the temperature rise of the vibration generator bearings should not exceed 40℃, and the maximum operating temperature should not exceed 75℃. When the transmission shaft and spline shaft have been running for 1000 hours, 30g lithium-based grease should be injected into the lubrication points of the bearings and splines.

Every 500 hours of Banana Screen operation, the tension state of the vibration generator bolts, the tightness of the plug block, the looseness and damage of the screen plate and liner plate, and the wear of the tail end blind plate should be checked. For severely worn components, they should be replaced promptly.

The long-term impact and wear of the screened material on the support beams will cause them to fracture due to pitting, posing a significant safety hazard. By applying a flat rubber plate to the seven support beams for rubber coating treatment, it is similar to the rubber coating of a drum. After the rubber coating treatment, part of the energy generated by the impact of the screened material on the support beams will be absorbed by the rubber plate, and some of the materials will be ejected, minimizing the direct impact of the materials on the support beams and providing good protection. After calculation, the weight generated by the rubber plate after the rubber coating treatment will not affect the structural performance of the Banana Screen.

 

Conclusion

Compared with traditional vibrating screens, the ZXF3061 single-layer Banana Screen has significantly greater processing capacity and excellent desilting effect. It not only reduces the labor intensity of workers but also saves a large amount of material costs. This Banana Screen combines the advantages of fixed vibrating screens and linear vibrating screens, but it has a larger equipment volume and higher investment cost. With the development of large-scale coal preparation equipment, the construction of large-scale coal preparation plants and the increasingly simplified coal preparation processes, Banana Screen will gradually replace traditional vibrating screens due to its advantages such as large processing capacity, high screening efficiency, and stable performance.
