steel apron feeder as a heavy machinery products, the use of severe environment, so in the use of the process must be timely attention to the changes in the steel apron feeder, timely maintenance, to extend the service life, so as not to delay the normal production.
1.The steel apron feeder should always keep a certain thickness of material on the chain pan in using.The material generally should not be less than 300 mm and not allowed to discharge empty state directly to the chain pan. When it is impossible to avoid unloading empty, a layer of broken material should be laid on the chain pan before unloading to prevent direct impact on the trough the pan.Although the pan is deformed or even damaged,when the blockage of large pieces of material is not allowed to be discharged in the form of blasting.
2.After the installation of the steel apron feeder, the distance between the discharge port and the slot pan should not be less than 1.5-2 times the block size of the material to ensure the smooth flow of materials and improve the service life of the chain pan. After the installation of the second side rail pan, there should be a gap of 8-13 mm between the two sides of the chain pan and the block, which avoiding the material spillage.The material and the block pan cause friction, produce a loud sound, block pan bottom edge and chain pan surface distance to maintain in 5-10 mm. In order to prevent material overflow, tensioning device axis line from the back wall of the silo should leave a certain space generally 350-500 mm, which easy to repair demolition.

3. When the chain pitch is worn to more than 7mm, the bushing should be turned at an angle or the chain should be replaced with a new one.

4. When disassemble the sleeve, firstly, it need to loosen all the screws, but do not remove all the screws. Removing the galvanized screws and washers, screw the removed screws into the front pressure ring of the pavement help screw hole, gently tap the head to make the sleeve loose.Then pull out the screws, the sleeve is pulled out with it.

5. When installing up the sleeve, it should be the original installation of the combined surface clean.Then evenly coated with a thin layer of lubricant (molybdenum disulfide). Up the sleeve screw with a torque wrench according to the diagonal cross evenly tightened.

6. The operator should be familiar with the structure principle of the machine, and should check whether all parts are normal and whether the chain pan coupling bolts are loose before each shift. It start the operation only after no abnormality is checked.

7. Properly lubricate each bearing and reducer, and replace new oil regularly.
